As part of YEDI’s commitment to young people, especially teen girls between ages 13 and 19, our Executive Director, Adeoye Oluwatomisin, joined other dignitaries at the launch of SKY Girls new series, Journey to Bloom, at Ikeja City Mall on Thursday.

The series, an initiative supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, is scheduled to air on Africa Magic every Saturday at 6:30 p.m., with key messaging on financial inclusion, behavioral change goals, and sexual and reproductive health.

Speaking about the goal behind Journey to Bloom, Adenike Odutola, Country Director, SKY Girls Nigeria, said, “True to the core values of the SKY Girls community, we aim to create a series that not only entertains but also educates and empowers young people. By showcasing relatable stories and characters, we hope to inspire a generation of confident and informed individuals who can navigate the complexities of growing up with resilience and grace.”

Other dignitaries at the event include, Benedicta Ogbian, Account Director, Sky Girls Nigeria; Dr. Peju Adenusi, Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) Consultant for The SKY Girls Project; Alice Railton, Senior Consultant, Good Business; and Mr. Yemi Ajani, representative of the Lagos State Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education at the Lagos.
